Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a widget to my home screen?

Long-press your home screen, tap the + button in the top-left corner, search for "SubTrack'd," and choose from medium, small, or lock screen widgets.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes up to 5 subscriptions, all widgets, Siri Shortcuts, and Face ID lock. Pro ($5.99 one-time) adds unlimited subscriptions, AI-powered spending insights, category charts, CSV/JSON export, and custom notification timing.

Does SubTrack'd connect to my bank account?

No. SubTrack'd is manual-entry only. We never ask for bank credentials, financial data, or any account information. This is by design — your financial privacy matters.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. There is no cloud sync, no server, and no account. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Why isn't my widget updating?

Widgets update when you add, edit, or delete a subscription, and automatically at midnight. If a widget shows stale data, open the app briefly to trigger a refresh.

Can I get a refund for Pro?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.

What are AI Insights?

On devices with Apple Intelligence, SubTrack'd Pro generates personalized spending summaries and tips using on-device AI. Your data never leaves your phone — everything runs locally. On older devices, you still get useful computed insights.

How do Siri Shortcuts work?

SubTrack'd includes three Siri shortcuts: monthly spend, upcoming renewals, and category breakdown. Just say "Hey Siri, what am I spending in SubTrack'd?" They also appear in the Shortcuts app for automations.

Will you add cloud sync?

iCloud sync is on the roadmap. It will remain optional — local-only will always be the default.
